Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is seeking an RN Educator in Infection Prevention to lead infection control efforts and staff education within a 181-bed Sub‑Acute and Long‑Term Care setting. This full‑time role emphasizes patient safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the facility.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing license in good standing, BLS certification, and specialized infection prevention training.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Completion of specialized training in infection prevention and control.
• Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, monitor, and report trends in healthcare-associated infections to support intervention.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to implement infection prevention practices.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with infection prevention policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and evaluate infection control initiatives to improve safety.
• Provide staff education and training on infection prevention practices.
