Community Hospital is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse Infection Prevention / Quality Improvement with a $5,000 Sign On Bonus. The role involves surveillance of healthcare-associated infections, staff education, and collaboration with the Infection Prevention Committee under the Chief Quality Officer.

The position emphasizes adherence to accreditation and state regulations and requires an Oklahoma RN license.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
• Three years acute care experience preferred.
• One year infection prevention experience preferred.
• Completion of basic surveillance course within 6 months or evidence of supervision by a qualified infection control practitioner.
• BLS within 30 days.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects, records and analyzes data on healthcare associated infections and recommends control measures.
• Provides surveillance of infection control practices related to Standard and Transmission Based Precautions.
• Participates in infection prevention activities and education for staff and patients.
• Initiates and conducts outbreak investigations.
• Educates individuals on infection prevention to reduce risk and initiate isolation protocols as needed.
• Assists with review of disinfectants and antisepsis practices.
• Develops and updates Infection Control Program Policies/Procedures.
• Assists with employee health maintenance and on-the-job injuries.
