Westminster-Canterbury-of-the-Blue-Ridg is seeking a Quality Assessment and Infection Control Nurse to lead quality improvement initiatives and infection prevention within the organization. The role emphasizes surveillance, performance improvement projects, and on-call nursing leadership within the health care team.

Starting salary ranges from $82,918 to $110,903. Candidates should have RN licensure in Virginia and at least five years of RN experience, with preference for geriatric care and data

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with data collection, tabulation, analysis, interpreting and reporting of findings.

Responsabilités

• Identify residents at risk and implement improvement measures.
• Track quality measures weekly (falls, injuries, pressure ulcers, weight loss).
• Analyze reports and incidents including medication errors and unusual occurrences.
• Utilize multiple data collection methods for resident care and unit functioning.
• Investigate sentinel events under Health standards.
• Lead monthly Quality Assurance meetings and document corrective actions.
• Update and implement quality improvement policies and procedures.
• Conduct CDC infection surveillance and investigate nosocomial infections.
