Position Summary

The Infection Prevention Practitioner is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the MultiCare Health System Infection Prevention Program. This position requires developing, analyzing, and interpreting various information related to infection control surveillance, policies, procedures, staff education, practices, and regulatory mandates, with independent decision-making and analytical problem solving.

Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education
• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred or to be attained within three (3) years of hire
• Two (2) years of experience in healthcare, with current clinical experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting
