FullShift Staffing is seeking a Travel Infection Control Nurse to assess and enhance infection prevention across diverse healthcare settings. The role supports patient safety and clinic operations, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, and staff education.

Ideal candidates will have infection prevention experience and the flexibility to travel. The position emphasizes collaboration with healthcare teams and adherence to CDC/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in infection prevention and control in healthcare settings.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines, OSHA regulations, and other relevant infection control standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and influence healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work independently in various healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of infection control practices and procedures at assigned facilities.
  • Develop and implement infection prevention and control plans based on current guidelines and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with infection control protocols and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Educate healthcare staff on infection control measures, including hand hygiene, isolation precautions, and environmental cleaning.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to investigate and manage healthcare-associated infections outbreaks.
  • Participate in infection control committees and provide expertise on infection prevention strategies.
  • Collect and analyze infection rate and trend data, and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging infectious diseases and recommend adjustments to infection control policies accordingly.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infection prevention and control and the flexibility to work in diverse healthcare settings.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of infection control practices and procedures at assigned healthcare facilities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum LPN license in good standing in the listed state or active Compact/Multistate license.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
  • Minimum of [1] years of experience in infection prevention and control in healthcare settings.
  • Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines, OSHA regulations, and other relevant infection control standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and influence healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work independently in various healthcare environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to different locations on short notice and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between healthcare facilities, if applicable.
