Job summary

San Juan Care Center in Farmington, NM seeks an assertive Nurse to lead Infection Prevention and Control efforts under RN supervision. The role includes coordinating the program, outbreak management, employee health, and outcome surveillance to identify, analyze, control and report infections.

Qualifications

• RN license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates hospital-wide Infection Prevention Control Program.
• Complies with Federal and state regulations. Adheres to Administration (OSHA), APIC, AHOP and other regulatory agencies.
• Prioritizes Infection Prevention goals.
• Collaborates with Department managers and medical directors in implementing aspects of the Infection Prevention Program when requested or as needed.
