Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Infection Preventionist - LPN/LVN to lead infection prevention and control across one or more centers under RN supervision. You will educate staff, participate in outbreak management, and drive surveillance programs to protect residents and staff.

The role requires LPN/LVN licensure, specialized prevention training, and a minimum of three years of nursing experience, with long-term care exposure and supervisory experience preferred. Flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• LPN/LVN must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current practical or vocational nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control.
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required and a minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care nursing with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
• Previous experience in infection prevention and control is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Infection Prevention and Control Program at one or more centers under RN direction.
• Act as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator and facilitator for all staff on infection prevention.
• Focus on Infection Prevention, Outbreak Management, Employee Health and Outcome-Process Surveillance.
• Identify, investigate, analyze, control and report infections.

Responsibilities

As an Infection Preventionist -LPN/LVN! Under the direction of a RN, you will be responsible for one or multiple centers Infection Prevention and Control Program and will function as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator and facilitator for all staff focusing on the following areas: Infection Prevention - Control Activities, Outbreak Management, Employee Health and Outcome - Process Surveillance. The latter includes identifying, investigating, analyzing, controlling and reporting infections.

Posted Salary Range

USD $35.00 - USD $40.25 /Hr.
