Job summary

Willow Creek Health Care Center is seeking a knowledgeable Infection Prevention Nurse (LVN) for a full-time on-site role. You will lead the facility's infection prevention program, monitor trends, and educate staff to uphold regulatory compliance and resident safety.

Ideal candidates have an LVN license, CPR cert, and 2+ years of nursing experience, with preferred infection prevention background in healthcare and familiarity with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• California LVN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• 2+ years nursing experience preferred, ideally in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Infection prevention experience in healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, surveillance, isolation precautions.
• Formal infection prevention education, training or certification preferred.
• Experience with employee health, TB management, bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program.
• Monitor infection trends and promote evidence-based practices.
• Provide staff education and regulatory compliance support.
• Conduct surveillance and report infections.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and departments.
• Maintain infection prevention policies and training records.
• Assist with outbreak investigations and exposure management.
• Report to Administrator and Director of Nursing.
