Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Manager of Infection Prevention and Caregiver Health & Safety to lead a comprehensive program across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role focuses on infection prevention, caregiver safety, and occupational health practices with a strong emphasis on escalation and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing or related field
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles
• Certified in Infection Control within 1 year of hire
• Director-level infection prevention certification within 1 year

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Infection Prevention and Caregiver Health staff including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management
• Delineate responsibilities among Infection Preventionists and Caregiver Health staff for compliance
• Oversee infection prevention programs including surveillance, outbreak response, and ICRA
• Manage caregiver safety programs and safety initiatives in coordination with caregiver safety facilitator
• Ensure readiness for regulatory surveys and accreditation in infection control and safety
• Collaborate with leaders to develop risk reduction and safety improvement plans
• Monitor metrics and ensure data integrity and reporting
