Job summary

Southridge Behavioral Hospital, located near Grand Rapids, MI, seeks an Infection Control / Staff Educator RN to coordinate the hospital's infection control program and lead staff education initiatives. You will partner with leaders to design training, ensure regulatory compliance, and support employee health programs.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, MN or BSN preferred, and 3+ years in psychiatric care with infection control or staff education experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; RN license required.
• 3+ years in psychiatric health-care preferred; staff education or infection control experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hospital infection control program including surveillance, reporting and prevention initiatives.
• Educate and support clinical teams to ensure regulatory standards and best practices are met.
• Lead staff education initiatives, design and implement training, and support employee health compliance.
• Mentor nursing staff and participate in on-call rotation and staffing coverage.
