Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• RN license in Michigan; CPR-BLS certification.
• IPC certificate required or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 5+ years of nursing experience in acute or extended care.
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff and physicians.
• Analytical skills to interpret infection control data.
• Computer skills and experience with electronic charting.
• Strong organizational and follow-up abilities.

• Analyze, develop and revise infection control policies and procedures.
• Investigate suspected outbreaks of infection.
• Provide consultation on risk assessment, prevention and control strategies.
• Stay updated on trends in extended care infection control and regulations.
• Coordinate and present new hire orientation for staff training.
• Deliver clinical orientation and training for nursing staff on policies and techniques.
• Research, design and implement in-service programs to reinforce policies.
