Job summary

Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead onboarding, training, and staff development for a 104-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Dover, Delaware. You will design and deliver programs, monitor progress, and collaborate with HR and leadership to meet patient-care standards.

The role involves managing HealthStream education, coordinating annual competency activities, and supporting hospital-wide training initiatives within a full-time day-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in DE (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Three or more years of related staff development/health care training experience.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

This opportunity is full-time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a day shift schedule. Monday through Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Nurse Educator at Dover BH System:

• Develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs for new hires to ensure they meet competencies and deliver high-quality care.
• Monitor new hires' progress, participate in evaluations, and provide ongoing education to help them excel in their roles.
• Design and facilitate training programs, CEUs, and in-services to address staff development and hospital needs, partnering with HR and the Management Team.
• Manage the Healthstream system to provide education to the hospital, including facilitating the Annual Competency Fair and other hospital-wide training and in-services.
