Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse to lead infection prevention efforts, enhance patient safety, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards in a clinical setting.

You will conduct rounds, coordinate programs, and collaborate with clinical teams to reduce infection risks while supporting surveillance and education initiatives for staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with 2+ years hospital experience.
• BSN required.
• Experience with infection prevention, surveys, and epidemiology preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infection control principles, survey processes, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement infection control programs across departments.
• Conduct rounds to identify infection risks and suggest improvements.
• Support surveillance activities including tracking HAIs.
• Collaborate with community health agencies on infection prevention initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, Department of Health, CDC, and NHSN reporting requirements.
• Review medical records and labs for HAI identification.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
