VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a full-time Infection Control / Registered Nurse at Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, DE. The role focuses on leading the infection control program, ensuring standards, and delivering compassionate nurse care in a correctional setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s prepared nurse with RN licensure, active CPR, and infection control certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
Possesses an active CPR certification.
Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.
Bachelor's prepared (or higher) nurse with infection control certification within six months of hire (APIC; SHEA).

Responsibilities

Manages the Infection Control Program and maintains national infection control standards.
Delivers quality care within the scope of practice for Registered Nurses.
Ensures a safe, sanitary environment to prevent transmission of infections.
