Job summary

TBH is seeking an Infection Control Practitioner to lead surveillance, analysis and reporting of infections within a hospital setting. You will help develop and implement policies to ensure rigorous infection prevention aligned with regulatory requirements.

The role focuses on enhancing standard of care and achieving mission goals, requiring strong English communication and the ability to follow complex instructions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of epidemiology/infection control experience.
• BCLS certification is required.
• Infection control certification to be obtained within 2 years if not held at hire.
• English reading/writing and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to read/write English and perform simple arithmetic.

Job description

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in the field of epidemiology/infection control
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Certification in Infection Control – If none at time of hire should be obtained within two (2) years after hire.
• Ability to read and write in English and perform simple arithmetic
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions and complete the required training satisfactorily.

Job Description

The Infection Control Practitioner is responsible for the surveillance, analysis and reporting of infections, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure rigorous infection prevention and control standards within the Hospital, in compliance with state, federal and other regulatory agencies requirements, and the Hospital’s standard of care and mission and goals.
