Health First is seeking an Infection Control Practitioner to lead infection prevention across ambulatory sites in Florida. Responsibilities include monitoring care environments, surveillance of infectious diseases, and updating policies based on evidence-based practices.
The role requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing or related field, Florida licensure, and at least two years’ experience. CIC certification is preferred and travel within ambulatory sites is involved.
The Infection Control Practitioner (ICP) works with all IDN partners at all levels to control and prevent infectious disease in our facilities and clinics, reduce the incidence of healthcare-associated infections, and reduce the risk of occupational infectious disease. In collaboration with the local health department, the ICP works to control infectious disease in the community. The ICP provides education and evidence-based information on the principles and practices of infection prevention and control.
