Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Instrument Equipment Technician to rigorously clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and operating room equipment. Evening shifts support patient care continuity. The ideal candidate may have a high school diploma or related sterilization experience; prior OR or instrument tech exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience in equipment sterilization or Instrument or Operating Room Aide or Tech
• Preferred: Prior experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies; clean, sterilize, and store properly.
• Operate sterilization equipment and perform decontamination, assembly and wrapping.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and safety standards.
• Process endoscopes, scopes and/or probes.
