Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BSN and CIC preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience.
• Education and experience in infection control, epidemiology and/or microbiology required.
• Preferred two years occupational/employee health experience.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reduces infection risks among patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and visitors.
• Conducts infection control surveillance and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Investigates infection outbreaks and develops interventions.
• Provides mandated staff education on infection control and collaborates with managers.
• Develops and implements Infection Control Performance Improvement plan.
• Acts as liaison to hospital committees and coordinates related task forces.
