Job description

Job Summary: Minto's Casa is seeking a compassionate, patient, and energetic Toddler/Infant Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. The ideal candidate will support the developmental needs of infants and toddlers through age-appropriate activities, fostering social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and implement daily activities, including play-based learning, storytime, arts and crafts, and sensory experiences tailored to the developmental stages of infants and toddlers.
  2. Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with nap times, while maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  3. Observe and document children’s progress, sharing updates with parents and caregivers regularly.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, curiosity, and independence.
  5. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and childcare regulations.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child’s individual needs and development goals.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent (education in Early Childhood Education preferred).
  2. Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting.
  3. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
  5. Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  6. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  7. Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day.

Work Environment:

Full-time or part-time position in a daycare, preschool, or early learning center. Schedule may include mornings, afternoons, or full-day shifts depending on facility needs.
