Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks Infantryman candidates to serve part-time in the United States Army National Guard. You will receive paid training, develop leadership and teamwork, and gain real-world military skills applicable to civilian careers.

Responsibilities include reconnaissance support, weapon systems operation, communications maintenance, and joint tasks during training and deployments. Eligibility includes age 17–35, HS diploma or GED, and citizenship; enlistment required.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard
• High school diploma or GED (or currently in high school)
• Ages 17–35
• Pass a physical exam and meet standards
• Citizenship requirements must be met

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including night vision sights
• Operate and maintain communications equipment
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents
• Aid in mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons
