Job summary

DC Army National Guard Infantryman entry position offers paid training while you learn essential combat and leadership skills. You will train to operate and maintain weapon systems, conduct reconnaissance, and work as part of a fire team during both training and mission scenarios.

Expect 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with tuition assistance and a robust benefits package. This is a part-time role with drill weekends and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including engaging targets using night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.).
