Job summary

Katmai Government Services seeks a seasoned training specialist to lead Infantry Immersion Training design, coordination and execution for US Marines. You will develop scenarios, link tasks to objectives, and provide performance assessments to command, ensuring readiness and adherence to METLs and TTPs.

You will collaborate with observer/controllers, supervise rehearsals, and guide after-action reviews while maintaining security clearances and high standards of safety and training quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management or related field; experience may substitute degree.
  • 4 years' knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and squad-to-company level command relationships.
  • Experience with TTPs and lessons learned from overseas contingency operations and battlefield environments.
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps SAT, scenario development, exercise design and T&R requirements.
  • Experience with training systems management and operations.
  • Ability to work with role-player management for pre-, during, and post-training.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship).
  • Ability to obtain required security access and background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and support during Infantry Immersion Training and assist observers; identify remediation areas.
  • Coordinate pre-event planning with training unit and prerequisites.
  • Design training events linking objectives to METLS and assess resources.
  • Develop task linkages and training documents for scripted actions.
  • Create training scenarios enabling commanders to attain objectives.
  • Review training standards and tactical employment considerations.
  • Observe actions and cue events to support objectives and METs.
  • Lead performance discussions with unit commanders to determine decision points.
  • Provide performance assessments to unit command for readiness.
  • Support unit training execution and after-action reviews.
  • Provide recommendations based on combat experience and training in MOS.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
