Tender Care Learning Academy in New Castle, DE seeks a warm Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our caring team. You will create a safe, nurturing classroom environment and implement developmentally appropriate activities for 0–3 children, while maintaining open communication with families about progress.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, and ideally a CDA or ECE degree, plus experience with infants/toddlers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or early learning setting.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for children ages 0–3.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with families and team members.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and sitting on the floor.
• Must pass a state background check and meet Delaware childcare licensing requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Maintain daily communication with parents and caregivers regarding each child's progress and daily activities.
• Follow established feeding, napping, and diapering routines in accordance with individual child needs.
• Observe and document developmental milestones for each child in your care.
• Ensure classroom cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a positive, team-oriented learning environment.
