Job Location: Union Station Bldg - Bellefontaine, OH
Salary Range: $14.84 - $21.23 Hourly
Description

Starting Wage: $14.84 - $21.23 hourly, based on education. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. CORS offers educational advancement opportunities for motivated individuals, with wages increasing to $22.24-$26.08 hourly for those with an Associate's Degree or higher.

Position: Teacher - Full Time/Full-Year

This role involves collaborating with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to plan and implement the Head Start educational program for preschool children, preparing them for kindergarten and beyond. The organization is highly-rated and committed to professional growth, offering numerous resources through the Head Start program.

  • Assist the Head Teacher in daily classroom operations, including preparing the learning environment, conducting routines, and facilitating activities.
  • Ensure children's safety by supervising at all times and maintaining a safe, healthy, and organized environment.
  • Collaborate on developing activities that promote development across all domains.
  • Help complete developmental screenings for children.
  • Support family engagement and male involvement initiatives throughout the year.
  • Participate in home visits, planning, and parent/teacher conferences as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications
  1. Education and Training: High school diploma or GED with a CDA or equivalent; or enrollment in a CORS-approved and paid Child Development (CDA) program with completion within two years. An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

  2. Work Experience: None required.
  3. Physical & Other Conditions: Ability to lift 40 pounds, stoop, bend, and reach. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history. The role involves organizing, problem-solving, record-keeping, and time management.
