First Church of the Nazarene Long Beach seeks a passionate Infant/Toddler Teacher for Kidz First Academy & Infant Care Center. The role focuses on infants aged 0-24 months in a Christ-centered environment, supporting development through structured activities and loving care.

You will implement age-appropriate curriculum, collaborate with families, and ensure safety and licensing compliance while fostering a warm, inclusive classroom culture.

Qualifications

• Requires valid early childhood education certification with infant (3 units) or toddler care qualifications.
• Experience working with young children in preschool/infant care settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Diapering, feeding, nap routines and sensory play.
• Support developmental milestones per licensing and center curriculum.
• Manage classroom routines, plan lessons, transitions, and positive reinforcement discipline.
• Plan age-appropriate activities: songs, Bible stories, finger plays, art, etc.
• Collaborate with families to share progress and discuss goals.
• Follow licensing, health and safety protocols, CPR/First Aid requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and a clean, organized classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and devotions.
