Job summary

Salina Public Schools is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant to support early education classrooms at Head Start/Early Head Start in Salina, KS. The role involves assisting with daily activities, guiding young children, and aiding teachers to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Starting pay ranges by credential: $18.13/hr with CDA, $19.22/hr with AA in Early Childhood Education; position is Full-time, 40 hours/week, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, year-round.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or related degree required OR must be willing to obtain the CDA credential during the first year of employment
• Experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred
• Passion for working with young children is essential!

POSITION: Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant (Early Education Classroom Engagement Support)

LOCATION: Head Start/Early Head Start
700 Jupiter Ave, Salina, KS

TERM:

• Full-time: 40 hours/week
• Schedule: 7:30 AM � 4:30 PM (with a 30-60 minute lunch break)
• Full-year position

STARTING PAY:

• $18.13/hr (Must have CDA credential)
• $19.22/hr (Must have an AA Degree in Early Childhood Education)
• Additional Benefits: Pay increases and a $500 incentive upon obtaining CDA

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or a related degree required OR must be willing to obtain the CDA credential during the first year of employment
• Experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred
• Passion for working with young children is essential!
