Ozark R-VI School District is seeking an Early Childhood Childcare Teacher Assistant for the Early Childhood Center. This on-site, non-exempt position is paid hourly and reports to the Principal(s) of Early Childhood.

The role emphasizes safety and positive childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Qualifications include a high school diploma or two years of childcare experience, CDA certificate (or willingness to obtain), ability to communicate with young children, and clearance of

JOB GOAL: To provide quality, positive and safe childcare for infants, toddlers and preschool children

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct assistant childcare teacher
• Ensure children's safety and well-being
• Treat each child with dignity and respect
• Supervise young children in independent play (indoor and outdoor) and during rest time
• Assist with meals and snacks. Feed or provide bottles as necessary
• Assist with diapering and bathrooming
• Assist with the ordered arrangement, appearance, d�cor and learning environment of the classroom
• Assume equal share of the housekeeping responsibility of the staff
• Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses and other aspects of professional growth
• Perform other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift up to and including 50 pounds

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: At-will employee, compensation at an hourly rate

TYPE OF POSITION: Non-Exempt

EVALUATION: On-going evaluation by the Principal(s) of Early Childhood
