Job summary

Celebree School in Richmond, VA, is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher to shape the early development of our infants and toddlers in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate program.

You will guide classroom activities, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and support transitions for classroom Aides as they grow in early childhood education. This role emphasizes caring pedagogy and teamwork in a bright, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
• This position requires comprehensive knowledge of the behavioral and developmental stages of children and knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.
• Ability to manage a classroom with strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills; patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Navigate the day's activities alongside our infants, offering gentle guidance and support as they navigate their first steps.
• Manage the Infant classroom ensuring compliance with all Office of Child Care regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents, and visitors.
• Create and implement thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s infant curriculum
• Ensure the classroom is a safe, clean, and inviting space where curiosity can flourish.
• Accurately complete all paperwork, electronic reports, supervision records, and attendance tracking
