Global Village Montessori Preschool in Pleasanton, CA seeks an Infant Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants 6 weeks to 36 months. The role focuses on developmentally appropriate activities and strong parent-teacher communication.

You will design age-appropriate curriculum, collaborate with staff, and maintain licensing-compliant classrooms while supporting families and children’s growth.

Qualifications

• 12 ECE units (including Infant/Toddler units) required or equivalent.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience with infants/toddlers.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Strong communication, patience, and a nurturing personality.
• Knowledge of child development, health and safety regulations.
• Ability to pass background check and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive, individualized care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, napping, and comfort.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities.
• Build strong relationships with children and families to support growth.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized classroom per regulations and school standards.
• Observe and document children’s progress, communicate with families, and participate in conferences.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to plan activities and maintain consistency.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.

Position Overview

Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating atmosphere for infants aged 6 weeks to 36 months. The teacher will design and implement age-relevant activities that support physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development while maintaining strong communication with parents and team members.
