Job summary

El Concilio California seeks an Infant/Toddler Teacher to oversee daily Head Start classroom operations in Stockton, CA. You will develop curriculum, promote positive self-image, ensure safety, and supervise support staff.

Responsibilities include home visits, child assessments, parent conferences and adherence to licensing standards, with bilingual preferences and required qualifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Head Start Act and Performance Standards.
• Knowledge of child development (typical and atypical).
• Ability to communicate with school staff, students and parents.
• Ability to implement educational plans and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement daily classroom program with parents and staff.
• Create a positive classroom environment and achieve required measurements.
• Comply with Community Care Licensing Regulations and Head Start Standards.
• Prepare weekly curriculum plans and lesson plans.
• Visit children’s homes and conduct parent conferences as needed.
• Assess children, conduct observations, and develop education plans.
