Job summary

Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority, Inc. Head Start / Early Head Start is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher in Morristown, TN.

You will foster a nurturing environment where infants and toddlers thrive, while building strong relationships with families and supporting developmental progress. Responsibilities include creating individualized learning plans, maintaining safety and health standards, and collaborating with staff to meet each child’s goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred.
• Minimum Infant/Toddler CDA Credential.
• At least 1 year experience teaching infants or toddlers.
• Must obtain pre-employment physical and immunization screening.
• Must have First Aid and CPR certifications and complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment for infants and toddlers.
• Create individualized learning plans based on observations and developmental assessments.
• Support children's development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains.
• Maintain positive relationships with children and families, supporting parent–child bonding.
