Job summary

The Goddard School of Urbana (Stone Barn), MD is seeking a passionate Teacher to join our Infant & Toddler educational team. You will educate and care for preschool-aged children, promoting safety, development and a love for learning in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications include Maryland 45/90 Hour Certification, experience with preschoolers, knowledge of early development, and strong communication. First Aid/CPR preferred; degree in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Maryland 45/90 Hour Certification required.
• Proven experience working with preschool-aged children.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents and colleagues.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hiring.
• Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Educate students in language, math, science and social skills through play-based activities.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment accommodating diverse needs.
• Provide infant care as needed, ensuring proper hygiene and comfort.
• Monitor and assess each child's progress in development and learning milestones.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience through teamwork.
