Job summary

Acelero Learning, Inc. is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher (Infant/Toddler) in Camden, NJ. The role works with a partner teacher to run a classroom of 6-8 children birth to 3 years old, implementing the Creative Curriculum and supporting families.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, observing and documenting progress, and promoting development across cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional domains. Local travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Infant/Toddler CDA or AA/BA in Early Childhood Education or related field or willingness to obtain Infant/Toddler CDA within one year of employment.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
• Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develops individual learning plans for each child based on needs and objectives.
• Plans and implements lessons to promote cognitive, language, and social-emotional development.
• Provides developmentally and linguistically appropriate experiences for age and culture.
• Collaborates with a partner Teacher to prepare daily lesson plans and share with parents and volunteers.
• Maintains daily lesson plans reflecting observations and child development knowledge.
• Supports language development through modeling and active engagement.
• Creates a positive climate and supports social-emotional development and autonomy.
• Uses positive behavior guidance to support readiness for kindergarten and beyond.
