Job summary

Ulster County Community Action Committee is seeking a Teacher Assistant (Early Head Start) to support the Lead Teacher in an Infant/Toddler classroom, ensuring safety and alignment with Head Start standards. You will assist with HighScope activities and document observations in COR and GoEngage.

The role requires CDA or progress toward it, 2+ years with infants/toddlers, strong communication, and the ability to engage families.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDA for Infant/Toddler or obtain within 15 months.
• Experience with infants/toddlers is required (2+ years).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher to maintain a safe, organized Infant/Toddler classroom.
• Support alignment with Head Start standards and related programs.
• Document screenings and child observations in GoEngage and COR.
• Engage families during drop-off/pick-up and attend trainings when needed.
