Job summary

Learn And Play Montessori Schools in Fremont is seeking a Director to lead our campus with warmth and accountability. You will work closely with teachers, children, and families to create a nurturing home away from home while upholding safety, state licensing, and high-quality early education.

The role emphasizes staff recruitment and development, administration, and clear communication with parents, with Montessori principles guiding daily operations and a strong focus on regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field.
• 3+ years of school supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of child care or teaching experience preferred.
• Montessori experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must also have Infant Toddler ECE units.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Managing the overall operation of the center including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and state licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all state regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
