Kidango in Fremont, CA seeks an Associate Teacher Infant/Toddler to support the daily program, assist in planning, and help ensure a safe, nurturing environment that supports early learning.

Preferred qualifications include an active Infant/Toddler Associate Teacher Permit, 1 year of early childhood experience, required CPR/First Aid, and immunization compliance. Qualifications

• Unexpired Associate Teacher Permit from the Department of Education.
• 1 year prior experience in working with young children.
• 3 or 6 Infant/Toddler units to be an Infant/Toddler Associate Teacher.
• Immunization records that comply with Senate Bill 792.
• CPR/First Aid Training Certification.
• 16 hours of health and safety training (includes 1 hour nutrition).
• Must be a mandated abuse reporter.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, preparing and implementing the daily program.
• Assists in planning and preparing the learning environment and materials.
• Performs primary caregiving responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Communicates with parents, including conferences.
• Supervises Teacher Aides, Substitute Teachers and Volunteers.
• Assumes responsibilities in the absence of supervisors.
• Ensures health, safety and well-being of all children.
• Prepares written reports as directed.
• Attends meetings and supports professional growth.
• Maintains confidentiality of children, families and employees.
• Works as part of the agency team and supports the mission.
