Infant Assistant Teacher - Full Time
Location: Tiny Steps Learning Center, Paterson, NJ
Tiny Steps Learning Center is expanding and seeking passionate Infant Assistant Teachers to join our team. We provide a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Position Overview:
The Infant Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in caring for infants, fostering their development in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with physical caregiving and developmental assessments.
- Supporting the curricular plan.
- Building supportive relationships with staff, parents, and students.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with infant children in a daycare setting.
- Associate Degree in Education or current CDA certification (Preferred).
- Strong understanding of child development and infant educational methods.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.
- Able to lift up to 45 pounds multiple times per day.
- Willingness to submit to background checks.
- CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Available to work full-time, including as late as 5:30 pm (Depending on work shift assigned).
Responsibilities:
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being.
- Support curriculum implementation.
- Serve as a positive role model.
- Foster social and emotional development.
- Maintain a clean and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with Lead Teachers and other staff.
- Assist in creating engaging lesson plans and tracking progress.

License/Certification:
