Merryhill School is hiring an Infant Teacher to provide nurturing care in a safe classroom. You will support feeding, sleeping, and developmental needs while creating learning experiences that foster early cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical growth.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, facilitating arts and crafts, supervising activities, and communicating with families. A strong emphasis on licensing compliance and a safe environment is required.

Qualifications

• 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) including coursework in child development, curriculum, and family/community.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ECE coursework, Child Development Associate credential, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current infant and child CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain before or shortly after hire.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Plan arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, and hands‑on educational experiences.
• Provide attentive supervision during classroom activities, meals, and transitions.
• Support potty training and age-appropriate personal care routines.
• Encourage language development, independence, positive peer interactions, and emotional growth.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to ensure a positive student experience.
• Communicate professionally with families regarding classroom activities and student development.
