Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Infant Teacher at Thomas Child Care and Learning Academy located in Penn Hills, PA. As an Infant Teacher, you’ll create a nurturing environment for 4 children ages 6 weeks to 12 months. You’ll support their developmental milestones through play-based learning, sensory activities, and individualized care.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care and supervision to infants
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
• Follow daily routines including feeding, diapering, and napping schedules
• Engage in developmentally appropriate activities to support motor, social, and emotional growth
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff
• Communicate regularly with families about each child’s progress and needs
• Maintain accurate records and comply with licensing regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or CDA in Early Childhood preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience in an infant/toddler setting
• Clear background check and up-to-date clearances (including TB test)
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
• A warm, patient, and energetic personality
