Job summary

Magical Beginnings in Norwell, MA seeks an experienced EEC-certified Infant Teacher to join our caring team at a full-time capacity. You will create a warm, responsive environment, support infant development, and collaborate on curriculum with your co-teacher.

Responsibilities include daily routines, communicating with families, and maintaining a safe classroom. A strong focus on development and trust builds lifelong foundations for the children we serve.

Qualifications

  • EEC Infant/Toddler Certification or CDA equivalent is required.
  • Experience in center-based daycare or preschool setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 90% of the day.
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift including opening/closing hours.
  • Strong communication with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Support infants' development with age-appropriate activities.
  • Collaborate with co-teacher to plan curriculum and materials.
  • Maintain a safe, clean classroom and document progress.
  • Follow feeding and naptime schedules for infants.
  • Provide responsive, individualized care to each infant.

We're seeking a compassionate, experienced, and EEC Certified Infant Teacher to join our team at our Norwell location. If you're passionate about early childhood education and love supporting infants during their most important developmental milestones, we'd love to meet you.

As an Infant Teacher, you'll create meaningful connections with children and families while providing a warm, responsive environment where every baby feels safe, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

  • EEC Infant/Toddler Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience (required)
  • Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
  • A nurturing demeanor and a love for infants and their development
  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset
  • Collaborating with your co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, and materials
  • Providing responsive, individualized care that supports each infant's development through gentle, age-appropriate activities
  • Keeping parents informed and building positive relationships with children and families
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly classroom environment
  • Assisting with daily routines, including bottles, meals, diapering, and naptime, tailored to each infant's individual feeding and sleeping schedule
  • Tracking children's progress and completing required assessments
  • Maintaining your EEC-required professional development hours and PQ registry
  • Helping infants build a sense of security, trust, and early communication skills
