Bright Horizons in NYC is seeking a Teacher to nurture infants, toddlers, and 2's/young preschoolers. You will design hands-on activities, communicate with families, and uphold a safe, clean classroom.

This full-time role offers access to CDA or college degree programs at no cost, and a supportive environment that values growth and making a difference in children's lives.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education and a plan to pursue an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is strongly preferred.
• New York State Teaching certification or eligible study plan is preferred.

Qualifications

• 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education and a study plan leading to an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is required
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education is strongly preferred
• New York State Teaching (B-2, N-6, 1-6, Special Education) or study plan eligible is Preferred
• At least two years of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 40 pounds; occasionally lift, carry, or hold weight more than 40 pounds
• Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and otherwise fully participate in activities
• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies
• Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $23.00-28.10 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
