Job summary

Bright Horizons is hiring a Teacher in the NYC area. This in-person role offers full-time schedules for infants, toddlers, and 2's/young preschoolers, with opportunities to pursue CDA or college degrees at no cost.

Eligible for a $1,500 Hiring Incentive after 100 days of employment. Responsibilities include creating hands-on activities, communicating with parents about milestones, and maintaining a safe, clean classroom following established procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
• 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education and a plan leading to an associate or bachelor's degree
• Associate or Bachelor degree in ECE preferred
• New York State Teaching eligibility or study plan preferred
• At least two years of experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool preferred

Qualifications

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required

• 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education and a study plan leading to an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is required

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education is strongly preferred

• New York State Teaching (B-2, N-6, 1-6, Special Education) or study plan eligible is Preferred

• At least two years of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred

Physical Requirements

This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training.

• Frequently lift, carry, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 40 pounds; occasionally lift, carry, or hold weight more than 40 pounds

• Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and otherwise fully participate in activities

• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies

• Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $23.00-28.10 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
