Job summary

The Goddard School of Katy (Cinco Ranch) is seeking an Infant Teacher to nurture and care for infants in a warm, supportive environment. You will implement age-appropriate activities and maintain detailed logs while fostering early development in a licensed childcare setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, ECE coursework, infant experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and a passion for building strong relationships with families and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education coursework preferred.
• Experience with infants in a licensed childcare or early education setting.
• Strong knowledge of infant developmental milestones and best practices.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to pass a background check per state licensing requirements.
• Warm, patient demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with families and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care and supervision for infants in a safe, nurturing classroom.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities supporting development.
• Maintain accurate daily logs including feeding, diaper changes, naps, and observations.
• Communicate with parents about their child's daily progress and milestones.
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, sanitation, and health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with lead teachers and administration to support curriculum goals.
• Build trusting, responsive relationships with infants to foster secure attachment.

• Communicate openly and consistently with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily progress and milestones
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to health and safety standards
• Collaborate with lead teachers and school administration to support curriculum goals and classroom objectives
• Build trusting, responsive relationships with infants to foster secure attachment and emotional well-being

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred
• Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early education setting preferred
• Strong understanding of infant developmental milestones and best practices in infant care
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state childcare licensing requirements
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with families and team members
