Job summary

BrightStars in Johnston, RI is seeking an Infant Teacher for a full-time program from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm to nurture and support infants and toddlers. You will help create a safe, engaging environment and contribute to daily activities and curriculum planning.

Ideal candidates hold 12 credits in early childhood, an Associate's degree, and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Bilingual abilities are a plus; join a collaborative team in a community-focused program.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete.
• 12 credits in early childhood.
• Knowledge of RIELDS or willingness to be trained.
• Bilingual individuals (English/Spanish or Italian) is a PLUS.

Position Description

Position Title: Infant Teacher- $18.50 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time between the hours of 6:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Required Documentation

1. Background Clearance: Evidence of a cleared RI DHS Comprehensive Background Check (including fingerprinting and CANTS check).
2. Education Verification: Official college transcripts and copies of diplomas
3. Medical Clearance: Immunization record per RIDOH regulations.
4. Professional Registry: Active enrollment (or willingness to enroll) in the RI workforce registry (RISES).
5. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete within 90 days of employment.

Other Information

Position will be between 6:30 am - 5:30 pm depending on the needs of the business.
