Job summary

Primrose School of Fishers Parkside is hiring an Infant Teacher to create a fun, safe classroom with a daily schedule designed to develop confidence and independence in infants. You will guide children through small group instruction and learn through the Balanced Learning curriculum.

We provide free training and opportunities for growth. This role offers Monday through Friday hours with no nights or weekends, a supportive leadership team, and a comprehensive benefits package including health

As an Infant Teacher at Primrose School of Fishers Parkside, you'll create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children's confidence and independence. You'll help guide these little ones through small group instruction as they grow their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information. Free Training Provided!

Primary Responsibilities:

Overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.

Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Fishers Parkside and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.

Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.

Implement the provided lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum.

Desired skills and experience:

Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency

Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred

Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
