Job summary

Alefbet Preschool at Congregation Beth Shalom in Atlanta is seeking a compassionate Infant Teacher to lead a classroom and foster a nurturing, play-based learning environment rooted in Jewish values.

You will guide children and staff, plan developmentally appropriate activities, supervise assistants, and maintain open lines of communication with families. Join a mission-driven school focused on growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• CDA preferred with a high school diploma, or a higher degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass fingerprinting and background check and meet Georgia state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the classroom, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum aligned with early learning standards.
• Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development; supervise and mentor assistants.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with families through daily updates and conversations.
• Ensure compliance with all school policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and accurate records; collaborate with leadership to support school culture.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement efforts.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday: 7.30 am- 4.30 pm
