Job summary

Alefbet Preschool at Congregation Beth Shalom is seeking a dedicated Infant Teacher to lead a classroom and nurture a developmentally appropriate, play-based learning environment. You will guide the teaching team, ensuring exploration and strong foundational development while upholding a warm, inclusive community.

Ideal candidates have a CDA or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, at least 1 year of childcare experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and willingness to complete

Qualifications

• CDA preferred with a high school diploma or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass fingerprinting and background check and meet Georgia state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the classroom, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum aligned with early learning standards.
• Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development; supervise and support assistant teachers.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with families through daily updates and conversations.
• Ensure compliance with all school policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and accurate records; collaborate with leadership to support school culture.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement efforts.

Education

Schedule:

Monday through Friday: 7.30 am- 4.30 pm
