The Goddard School Doylestown Bailiwick is hiring an Infant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for infants. You will help manage the classroom, ensure safety, and foster a loving, stimulating environment on a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate infant lesson plans.
• Create a warm, nurturing environment addressing emotional and developmental needs.
• Prepare classroom materials; maintain a safe, clean learning space.
• Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, comfort, and routines.
• Communicate with families about child progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations.

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Create a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment that supports each infant's emotional and developmental needs.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment
• Provide attentive, high-quality care including feeding, diapering, comforting, and maintaining consistent routines.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child's progress and daily activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Works productively without supervision
• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
