Apple Montessori Schools in Hoboken, NJ invites an Infant Teacher Assistant to join afternoons from 12:00pm to 6:30pm. You will support lead teachers, help create a nurturing Montessori environment, and assist with family communication and records.

This role emphasizes warmth, guidance, and encouraging children’s independence and curiosity. The position requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain, and a genuine love of children, with physical ability to assist in daily

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans.
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication.
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity.
• Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs.
