Job summary

America's Community Council in Detroit, MI seeks an Infant Mental Health (IMH)/Home-Based Supervisor to oversee high-quality, trauma-informed home-based services for infants, toddlers, and families. You will supervise IMH specialists and home-based therapists, ensuring best practices, regulatory compliance, and reflective supervision.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, active state licensure, 3–5 years in IMH/home-based services, and 2+ years of supervision, plus strong communication

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Active Michigan social work or counseling license required.
  • 3–5 years’ IMH/home-based services experience; 2 years supervisory preferred.
  • Infant Mental Health training preferred.
  • Experience with documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with early childhood development and family systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of home-based services with developmentally appropriate and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Collaborate with Program Director to evaluate and enhance programs and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and funding requirements; maintain accurate documentation.
  • Provide direct clinical services to families as needed (assessment, intervention, crisis response).
  • Offer guidance to staff on complex cases and develop individualized service plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to support comprehensive care.
  • Carry caseload in line with behavioral health standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the director.
